Clinicians
Counselors at Priestley Mental Health are all licensed clinicians who hold the minimum of a master's degree in their field and are certified and legally authorized to provide psychotherapy in the state of Idaho. Licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), licensed master's-level social workers (LMSWs), independently licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) and licensed professional counselors (LCPCs/LPCs) or psychologists (licensed to practice mental health counseling) may be ideal candidates for residency at our clinic.

Support Staff, Other Specialists & Entry-Level Positions:
Priestley Mental Health, Inc., offers a variety of mental health programs and services that require a variety of credentials, education, and prior experience. Potential case managers, community-based rehabilitations specialists (CBRS), and school CBRS behavioral interventionists will hold the minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work (LSWs) or have a degree in human services, psychology, or a related field and either currently hold or be willing to obtain proper certification to practice in the state of Idaho. A degree is not required for positions in peer support, family support, or youth respite services. Peer support specialists must have a current CPSS credential. Family support partners must obtain a CFSP credential. Respite workers will hold a high school diploma or GED and obtain first aid/CPR certification. On-the-job training will be provided.

* Ideal candidates are either (a) currently certified, experienced professionals certified to practice case management, CBRS, family support, or peer support in Idaho, OR (b) non-certified, yet otherwise qualified, professionals who are excited by the idea of working with our office to obtain appropriate licensure and are looking for careers in social work and human services (for example, those interested in one day pursuing graduate coursework as counselors or social worker or those seeking job experience in the field.)

To work in CBRS, the state of Idaho requires candidates hold the minimum of a bachelor's degree and be certified by the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA). Priestley Mental Health, Inc., is willing to work with the ideal degree-holding candidate to complete requirements to sit for the PRA's certification exam to obtain a license to practice CBRS, including helping the candidate complete a 2,000-hour clinical residency while employed by our office, providing clinical supervision, and assisting the ideal candidate in completing required education and training.
